Mario Vega

Mario Vega is a pastor and writer. He began his pastoral ministry in 1980 and, in 1997, assumed the general direction of Misión Cristiana Elim, along with its 145 branches in El Salvador and worldwide. He has shared the gospel in Russia, France, Germany, Brazil, and the United States. He is recognized nationally and internationally as one of the most prominent intellectuals in the evangelical Christian world in Latin America. He is the author of books such as “Reflections on the Truth,” “The Servant of Restoration,” and “Go to the Great City,” among others. He was awarded the “Sun of Justice” prize by the Evangelical University of El Salvador in 2011.

In the 1990s, upon learning about him and his work, Dr. Juan S. Boonstra of the program”The Hour of Reformation” stated, “He is a promise for the cause of our Lord in Latin America. Although still relatively young, he has demonstrated enviable theological competence from every point of view. The logic of his presentation is similar to that used by the eminent John Calvin in ‘The Institutes of the Christian Religion’ fiery in his condemnation of error, but always lucid in explaining the truth.”

Mario Vega is a columnist for one of the main newspapers in El Salvador and the General Director of the Christian Radio and Television Corporation, a conglomerate that includes six radio stations and a television channel. Check out: www.elim.org.sv
