My wife, Susan, and I have been married for 37 years and have lived in Wimberley, Texas, for 36 years. Susan taught for fifteen years in private and public schools. We have two daughters, who are married and have four grandchildren.
After ten years of youth ministry, my family and I began Cypress Creek Church (www.cypresscreekchurch.com) Wimberley (January 10, 1993). I served as senior pastor for 27 years and passed the baton of leadership on January 12, 2020. From August 2019 until the end of 2023, I was the Director of Development for Earth Mission, based in Myanmar (www.earth-mission.org). I have served as a Trustee on the Wimberley ISD School Board (President) for nearly six years.
Currently, I serve as the Director of Mission Advancement at Makarios with ministry outposts in the Dominican Republic and Uganda (www.makdr.org). I also enjoy and participate in ministry coaching and consulting. Further, I am a realtor and am grateful for the numerous opportunities to minister to others in this role.
Having traveled to 38 countries, I enjoy experiencing other cultures and expanding my worldview. I oversee the hunting operation at the family ranch in New Braunfels, Texas. I hunt, fish, read, and do my best to be an honorable husband, dad, and Papa. I am imperfect, simple, and an ordinary guy.
