The local church is God’s primary vehicle to disciple the nations. That’s why JCG Resources exists—to equip local churches to make disciples through holistic small groups. Our ongoing theme captures it well: “Resourcing Churches to Make Disciples through Small Groups.” We’re a practical ministry, focused on how small groups actually work at the grassroots level.
At the beginning of this year, our January blog theme asked, “What do you want to accomplish in 2025?” Now, as we approach the end of the year, it’s time to pause and reflect: What has God done? Did he strengthen your Sunday celebration? Your prayer gatherings? Your training process?
Maybe you didn’t reach every goal. Maybe 2025 exposed weaknesses or blind spots that God is now using to refine your church’s cell ministry. Reflection is part of growth—and it helps us see where God is at work.
In my own church (Lyngate Vida), we discovered several areas that needed attention—especially in administration, training, and prayer. Our pastoral team began meeting weekly to review every aspect of cell life. Earlier this year, we also realized we had dropped the ball on consistent equipping, so we’re now working to bake training into the regular rhythm of church life. And on November 1, we’ll launch a church-wide prayer meeting that we believe will be genuinely transformative.
