Tonight, around my kitchen table, a group of women from the church family are gathered.  Their focus is on creativity in projects of hand-made items, many of which will no doubt adorn their homes after the evening comes to a close.  The fellowship is sweet (although I am probably not supposed to be listening in) and a couple of babies sweeten the atmosphere with playful demands for attention.

The conversation turns to the morning’s Celebration gathering of cells.  One spiritually maturing lady (surrounded by those considered mentors and examples) states that God had given her a “word” to share with the gathered saints, but that in the larger group she felt a certain amount of fear to step out and present.  She asks for advice about how to enter this arena of operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  Some of the women here are from her cell group and encourage her to capture the essence and bring the exhortation or prophetic sense this week in the supportive atmosphere of the cell.  I can hear the cheer in her voice as support comes from those who know her best.  There is little doubt that the Holy Spirit will speak to the cell and, one day, this choice vessel will be used by her Lord to edify the entire large gathering of cells!!

She is learning to walk in the Spirit, those closest will protect her from falling or experiencing rejection.  Together they will grow into maturity and ministry in the safest environment I can think of, the small group cell.  Really, I treasure what God has done!

Ejercitando los dones en la cocina
Esta noche alrededor de la mesa del comedor, un grupo de mujeres de la familia de la iglesia se reunieron. Ellos enfocan su creatividad en proyectos de artculos hechos a mano, muchos de los cuales sin duda, adornan sus hogares después que la tarde se aproxima. La amistad es dulce (aunque yo probablemente no estoy supuesto a estar escuchando) y un par de bebes endulzan la atmosfera con demandas juguetonas para prestarles atención.

La conversación giro en torno a la reunión de la células en la celebración de la mañana. Una mujer madura espiritualmente (rodeada por estos considerados mentores y ejemplares) afirma que Dios le haba dado una “Palabra” para compartirla con los reunidos, pero que en el grupo más grande ella sintió un poco de temor de salir y presentarla. Ella pide un consejo, de como ella puede entrar en este campo de operaciones con los dones del Espritu Santo. Algunas de las mujeres presentes son de su grupo de célula y la animaron a capturar la esencia y traer la exhortación o el sentido profético de esta semana dentro de la atmosfera de apoyo en la célula. Puedo escuchar la alegra en su voz como el apoyo viene de estas que la conocen mejor. No hay duda de que el Espritu Santo hablara en la célula y, un da, su vaso seleccionado será utilizado por el Señor para edificar a la reunión grande de las células.

Ella está aprendiendo a caminar con el Espritu, los más cercanos la protegerán de caer o sufrir rechazo. Juntos van a crecer hacia la madurez y en el ministerio estando en el ambiente más seguro que pueda pensar, el pequeño grupo de célula. En definitiva, Valoro lo que Dios ha hecho!
